CAREERS - Highway / Roadway Project Manager

This position is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and highly-skilled roadway design professional who wishes to be part of our expanding team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the successful delivery of Mullerís numerous major roadway system improvement projects throughout Colorado for state and local public agencies, and federal public-land roadways throughout the Southwest. 
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
  • Design and analysis of freeways, interstate highways, interchanges, urban and rural roadways, and shared-use trails
  • Prepare studies, reports, plans, specifications and cost estimates for a wide variety of transportation projects
  • Prepare project work scopes, fee estimates, schedules, and delivery plans
  • Coordinate and work with a team of project engineers, design engineers, technicians, and support staff to successfully complete a variety of projects
  • Deliver high quality projects on time and within budget
  • Nurture long-term client relationships 

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelorís degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university
  • 10+ years of experience in the design of freeways, interstate highways, interchanges, urban and rural roadways, and shared-use trails
  • Familiarity with design build procurement and/or alternative project delivery is a plus
  • Experience with managed lane projects is a plus
  • Knowledge and experience with Microstation, InRoads and/or Geopak, and other applicable software common to the field of transportation engineering. AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Colorado DOT (or other state DOT) plan preparation procedures and standards
  • Experience with Federal Lands Highway plan preparation procedures and standards is a plus
  • Hydraulics and traffic experience is a plus
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills
  • A desire to grow personally and professionally with each project while working in a team environment to create designs and drawings supporting our clientís overall project goals 

    Required license or certification:
     

  • Colorado Professional Engineer License or ability to transfer a license from another state
