CAREERS - Project Coordinator – Transportation Engineering

 

This position is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and highly-skilled administrative professional who wishes to be part of our expanding team. The Project Coordinator will play a key role in helping our transportation engineering staff successfully deliver Muller’s numerous major roadway projects throughout Colorado and the Southwest for federal, state and local public agencies. The successful candidate must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized, dependable, helpful, flexible and willing to perform a variety of tasks with little guidance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Assist project managers with preparing project deliverables, tracking, filing, and reporting
  • Assist department leader with a variety of department operations management tasks
  • Prepare memos, reports, construction specifications, and other documentation
  • Utilize management tools to support project scoping, funding and scheduling
  • Coordinate meetings, materials and documentation
  • Coordinate webinars, seminars, conferences, training, and travel for department staff
  • Assist project managers with drafting, executing and filing contracts, contract amendments, and subconsultant agreements
  • Proofread and perform technical editing for a variety of documents
  • Support project managers with client relations, stakeholder management, and subconsultant coordination

Required Education, Experience, and Characteristics:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, additional or specialized training preferred; college degree is desirable
  • 5 or more years administrative assistance / project coordinator experience, preferably in the civil engineering industry
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience with Deltek Vision software is a plus
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrates high level thinking and problem solving skills
  • Maintains composure and is pleasant to work with even during demanding and high stress situations
  • Ability to prioritize assignments to meet multiple simultaneous deadlines
  • A desire to grow personally and professionally while working in a team environment and providing outstanding internal and external client service and support
